German automaker Volkswagen has introduced the new e-Golf, the electric version of its bestselling ‘Golf’ model.

Volkswagen Launches New All-Electric Golf

The e-Golf, which can be recognised by its signature LED headlights, extends the Volkswagen brand's fleet of highly economic fleet of 3 Euro vehicles.

The e-Golf has a low power consumption of 12.7 kWh/100 km, and is very economical to operate as power costs are just €3.28 per 100 kilometers. It also features a silent engine, improved aerodynamics and optimized rolling resistance, the company said.

In addition to handling, comfortable ride and amount of space seen in the Golf, the e-Golf is equipped with a range of standard features, including four doors, the high-end 'Discover Pro' radio/navigation system, heated windscreen, automatic climate control, parking heater and ventilation, leather steering wheel, aerodynamically optimized 'Astana' alloy wheels.
